Lord of the Rings vs Wheel of Time
Both of these novel/series are well known and famous, but which is a more innovative read? They have many differences and similarities, and they are of different styles but in my opinion they are neck and neck when looking at their ability to captur

LoR is the ORIGINAL, practically every fantasy book made after it has used elements that were origin
It has such a vast and well thought out history that it doesnt seem like a fiction novel as much as a historical documentation. I read almost everything tolkein ever wrote and i could barely get past the third wheel of time book. .
I don't think it really happened but Tolkien is a literary Genius I mean the Silmarillion and the Histories of Middle Earth are Amazing.
WoT though a longer read has better character development and flow, its definitely the better choice
For me Wheel of Time was a more griping read, but by a close margin.
